My students at Carr Elementary School in Santa Ana came up with this way of remembering the order of operations

" If you get hurt in PE call a doctor MD as soon as possible Asap"

Start with P parenthesis and E exponents

4−3{7−(2×3)}=4−3(7−6) continue with removing ( )

4−3(7−6)=4−3(1) next call a doctor MD a doctor is one person so do multiplication and division as the same time working from left to right

4−3(1)=4−3

Next do ASap Addition and subtraction at the same time because as soon as possible is the same time working from left to right

4−3=1
