  • The Slope Intercept Form of the equation of a given line is:

y = mx + cy=mx+c
where mm is the Slope of that line, and cc is the Y intercept

  • To get it in the Slope Intercept form, we first transpose 7x7x to the Right hand Side
    We get -5y = -7x + 105y=7x+10

To have just yy on the Left Hand Side, we divide both sides by -55

(cancel(-5)y)/cancel(-5) = (-7x)/-5 + 10/-5

color(green)(y = (7/5)*x - 2 is the Slope Intercept form of 7x−5y=10

  • The Slope is 7/5 and the Y intercept is -2

  • The graph will look like this:

graph{y=(7x/5)-2 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}
