How do you factor #2x^2 − 6x − 36#?

Use the new AC Method to factor the trinomial.
Compose factor pairs of c = -18. Proceed: (-1, 18)(-2, 9)(-3, 6). This last sum is (6 - 3 = 3 = -b). Then p = 3 and q = -6.
Answer: f(x) = 2(x + 3)(x - 6)
