If you rearrange this equation into the form
$y = mx+b$
$m$ will be the slope and
$b$ will be the y-intercept

Set $y=0$ in the original equation to get the x-intercept
(in this case the x-intercept will be $2$ )

$x=y+2$
is equivalent to
$y = (1)(x-2)$

The slope is $m= 1$
and the y-intercept will be $(-2)$
