Plot the intercept points (0,2) and (-1,0), then draw a straight line through those 2 points.

If y=2x+2 then when x=0, color(white)("XX")y=2 * 0 + 2=2
That is, the y-intercept is the point (0,2)

Similarly, the x-intercept is the value of x when y=0
If y=2x+2 then when y=0, color(white)("XX")0=2x+2color(white)("X")rarr 2x=-2color(white)("X")rarr x=-1
That is, the x-intercept is the point (-1,0)
