Explanation:

An equation in slope-intercept form is written as y=mx+cy=mx+c, where mm is slope and cc is its intercept on yy-axis.

Hence, if one writes a linear equation as a function of yy, one can easily get slope which is coefficient of xx and intercept, which is constant term.

As y=-9xy=9x is already in this form, we have its slope as -99 and intercept on yy-axis is 00, that is it passes through origin.
