As m is the slope

Minus 2x from both sides
-3y=12-2x

Divide by -3 on both sides

y=(12-2x)/-3

Break the Right hand side into two fractions

y=12/-3+(-2)/-3x or y=(-2)/-3x+12/-3

Simplfy

y=2/3x-4

So the slope is 2/3
