Slope is 4/5

Explanation:

The y is on a different side of = to the x

So the signs are as they should be. All we have to do is change 5y to just y. Then the coefficient of x is the slope.

Compare to y=mx+c where m is the slope (gradient).
'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Divide both sides by 5 giving:

4/5x=y+1/5" " =>" " m=4/5 ->" gradient"
'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you wish to completely convert the given into standard form:

Given 4/5x=y+1/5

Subtract 1/5 from both sides

y=45x-1/5
