We use the point-slope formula

( color(green)(y_2)- color(red)(y_1) )/(color(green)(x_2)-color(red)(x_1))y2y1x2x1

(color(green)(-7), color(green)(2))(7,2) and ( color(red)(9), color(red)(6) )(9,6)

(6-2)/(9- -7)6297
