  • We can find the Slope of a Line by expressing its equation in the Slope Intercept form .

  • The Slope Intercept Form of the equation of a given line is:
    y = mx + c
    where m is the Slope of that line, and c is the Y intercept

  • To get it in the Slope Intercept form, we first transpose 2x to the Right hand Side
    We get -5y = -2x

To have just y on the Left Hand Side, we divide both sides by -5

(cancel(-5)y)/cancel(-5) = (-2x)/-5

y = (2/5)*x + 0 is the Slope Intercept form of 2x−5y=0

  • The Slope is color(green)(2/5 and the Y intercept is 0
