How do you find the slope of (4,9), (1,6)?

slope = (change in y) / (change in x)

More formally, if a line passes through two points (x_1, y_1) and (x_2, y_2), then the slope m of the line is given by the formula:

m = (y_2 - y_1) / (x_2 - x_1)

In the case of the points (4, 9) and (1, 6), we get:

m = (6 - 9) / (1 - 4) = (-3)/(-3) = 1
