Find the slope of the line using the equation ( y_1 - y_2)/(x_1-x_2)y1y2x1x2

Explanation:

(5- 6)/( 5-1)5651 = slope

This gives

-1/414 = slope.

Any line with the slope of -1/4 will be parallel to the line described by the two points ( 5,5) and ( 1, 6)
