How do you find the slope of the following line, x+2y= -2x+2y=2?

I would rearrange the equation to actually "see" the slope, as:
2y=-x-22y=x2
y=-x/2-2/2y=x222
y=-1/2x-1y=12x1
The slope is the numerical coefficient in front of your xx, i.e., -1/212

If you re-write your formula in slope point form:
y=mx+by=mx+b
then the coefficient mm is the slope.

In this case
x+2y=-2x+2y=2
rarr 2y= -x-22y=x2
rarr y =( -1/2)x -1y=(12)x1
with a slope of
(-1/2)(12)
