Explanation:

By definition the slope of a line between two points is the difference between the yy coordinates divided by the difference between the xx coordinates (taken in the same order).

For the points (x_1,y_1)=(0,-8)(x1,y1)=(0,8) and (x_2,y_2)=(-9,10)(x2,y2)=(9,10)
