You first have to convert this to a y= problem

Step 1: move the x's to the other side:
2x+4y=-9->4y=-2x-9
Step 2: Divide everything by 4 to get a clean y
y=-1/2 x - 2 1/4

Now you take two convenient x's and plu them into the equation
(multiples of 4 seem handy here)

x=0->y=-2 1/4-> (0,-2 1/4)

x=4->y=-2-2 1/4=-4 1/4->(4,-4 1/4)

And then draw a line connecting these points
graph{-0.5x - 2.25 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}
