How do you graph the equation y=2x-7?

You need a minimum of three points to plot a straight line.
y=2x-7 the y intercept is (0,-7)
When y=0, 2x=7 so => x=3.5 this gives (3.5,0)
Then pick another value for x and substitute it into the equation to get a y value.
Plot these three points and draw a straight line through them.
You are often given end points for you to plot the graph between so you only draw the line between these points.
