Slope # = 1#

x intercept #= -1#

y intercept #=1#

Explanation:

We are given a linear equation in the slope-intercept form .

We have #color(red)(y = x + 1)# #.. color(green)(Equation.1)#

This is of slope-intercept form #color(blue)(y = mx + b)#

where #color(blue)m# is the slope.

In our problem, #Slope(m) = 1#

#color(blue)(b)# is the y-intercept.

In our problem, y-intercept # = 1#

To find the x-intercept we substitute #y = 0# in #.. color(green)(Equation.1)#

#0 = x + 1#

Hence, in our problem, x-intercept #= -1#

Hence our line will pass through two points #(-1,0) and (0,1)#
