As far as I'm concerned, there's no systematic approach to this, you kinda just have to play around with the parenthesis and see what you get.

I tried this and noticed if we have the expression

35+4^2-(6-3)

This will be equal to 48 because we can simplify the parenthesis and 4^2 to now have

35+16-3

This is the same thing as 51-3, or 48, which is what we have on the other side of the equal sign.

Therefore, our equation should look like this:

5+4^2-(6-3)=48
