...and this describes an equilibrium scenario, where the concentration of KI(aq) is the SAME as it would be were the solution were in equilibrium with UNDISSOLVED solute.

This site reports exceptionally high solubility... And so to make the stuff, take a SMALL volume of water...approx. 12mL, and load the solution with 23g of the potassium salt.

AS always, saturation, depends on temperature in that a hot solvent can solvate more solute than a cold one...(and that sounds like an Australian beer commercial..I could go a cold one son!).
