A function is even if:

#f(-x)=f(x)#.

A function is odd if:

#f(-x)=-f(x)#.

In this case:
#y=tan(-x)=sin(-x)/cos(-x)=(-sin(x))/cosx=-sinx/cosx=-tan(x)#,

for the simmetry of sinus and cosinus.
