Recall that negative exponents means that you flip the sign over. This is because #x^-1 = 1/x#

Therefore, to connect that idea, #1/x^-3# becomes

#1/(1/x^3)#

The negative sign becomes positive when you flip the fraction.

From here, you just do fraction division, flip the denominator over and multiply.

The final answer would then be #1*x^3# or #x^3#
