I think that it is 2±3.

Explanation:

48±3(1±2)
=48+(±(13)±(±23)) (Distribute ±3 into the parentheses)
=48+(±(3)±(±6)) (The ±(3) really should be minus or plus 3, but Socratic can't understand the minus or plus symbol)
=48+(±(3)+6) (Since ±1±1=1)
=48+6±(3)
=48+6±3 (Since there is only no ± symbol now, flipping the minus or plus symbol to a ± symbol is okay now)
=2±3
