(6 x^9 y^-8)(7 x^2 y^3)

We know that color(blue)(a^m.a^n = a^(m+n)

Applying the above property to the exponents of x and y in the expression:

color(blue)(x^9.x^2) = x^(9+2)

color(blue)(y^-8.y^3) = y^(-8 +3)

=(color(red)(6 . 7)) . color(blue)(x^(9+2)) . color(green)(y^(-8+3))

=42x^11y^-5
