How do you simplify secant of theta minus cosine of theta?? It's supposed to be tan theta x sin theta, but I have no idea why. Reciprocal identities play a part somehow, but I'm not getting that answer... Thx!

tantheta*sintheta=tantheta*sintheta
See below

Explanation:

sectheta-costheta= tantheta*sintheta
1/costheta-costheta= tantheta*sintheta
1/costheta-cos^2theta/costheta= tantheta*sintheta
(1-cos^2theta)/costheta= tantheta*sintheta
(sin^2theta)/costheta= tantheta*sintheta
sintheta*sintheta/costheta= tantheta*sintheta
tantheta*sintheta=tantheta*sintheta
