First, make the decimal into fraction
5/10x+63=2x-42
Transfer all the variables to one side and all the numbers to the other
5/10x-2x=-63-42
Remember,
2=2/1,4/2,6/3,8/4,10/5.......(20)/10
So, we can write it as
(5x-20x)/10=-105
-(15x)/10=-105
Multiply both sides by 10
(-15x)/cancel10 cancel 10 =-105xx10
cancel-15x=cancel-1050
15x=1050
x=1050/15
x=70
