x = 1; y = 1/2

$2x+2y=3$
$x−4y=−1$
From the 2nd equation: $x=4y-1$
put this x to the 1st equation:
$2(4y-1)+2y=3$
$8y-2+2y=3$
$10y=5$
$y=1/2$

And on the end y put to the x:
$x=4*1/2-1=2-1=1$
