Now where people sometimes make a mistake is to multiply

$3$ by $3$

Do not do this.

Write

$(6/1)(1/3)(3)$

Now multiply from left to right

$2(3)=6$

If the problem was $6/((3(2+1)))$ then the answer would be different.

This would give

$6/((3(3)))=6/9=2/3$
