y=6/5x+2

Explanation:

5y-6x=10

  • Add 6x to both sides

6x+5ycancel(-6x)=10+6x

  • Divide by 5

(5y=10+6x)/5

y=2+6/5x

OR

y=6/5x+2

Notes:

  • Both of those answers are right, because of the Commutative Property of Addition
  • You could divide and then add if you want
  • You could also subtract 5y form both sides, but then you would have to subtract 10, divide by 5, and multiply the whole equation by -1. I just thought the way I showed was faster.
