$11 y = 5 x - 6$ $11y=5x-6$ and $2 y = 7 x - 3$ $2y=7x-3$ rearrange the terms so that they become as follows

$5 x - 11 y = 6$ $5x-11y=6$ the 1st equation
$7 x - 2 y = 3$ $7x-2y=3$ the 2nd equation

Elimination by subtraction. Multiply the 2nd equation by $11$ $11$
and multiply the 1st equation by $2$ $2$ so that they become
