x=4 and y=-1

you would do this by solving by addition/elimination.

$x=2y+6$ plus
$3x=-2y+10$

add all terms going in a downward direction. $x+3x=4x$ , $2y-2y=0$ and $6+10=16$ , leaving

$4x=16$

$:.x=4$

sub the x value in and test for y.

$4=2y+6$

$-2=2y$

$y=1$

$3(4)=-2y+10$

$12=-2y+10$

$2=-2y$

$y=1$
