Use the sum in cosine identity,
#cos(A+ B) = cosAcosB - sinAsinB# .
Thus we have:
#cos(180˚)cos(x) - sin(180˚)sinx = -cosx#
#-1(cosx) - 0(sinx)= -cosx#
#-cosx= -cosx#
#LHS = RHS#
