An improper fraction is one in which the numerator is larger than or equal to the denominator.

5 essentially is 51, and so that's how you can write it in terms of an improper fraction.

Any number divided by 1 is the number itself.

Other examples of this are:

**(i) ** 21=2

(ii) 427911=42791

(iii) 81=8
