Explanation:

To turn a fraction into a decimal, all you have to do is divide the top number by the bottom number. Or:
#7/12 = 7 -:12#

NOTE: I know that it looks like I made #12# go into #70#, but that's only because #12# can't go into #7# without going over. So I put #0# above, then a decimal. This permits us to put a #0# after the #7# below, making it #70#.

So our decimal is #0.58bar3#. The line over the #3# means that it repeats over and over again.
