3x+5y=17
can be written in slope-intercept form as
y=35x71
which has a slope of 35

Any line perpendicular to this will have a slope 53

A line going through (2,5) with a slope of 53
is given by
y+5=53(x+2)

y=5x3+1035

y=5x53=53(x1)
or
f(x)=53(x1)
