By the oxidation of glucose.
Explanation:
- Cellular respiration is performed in mitochondria. So, it called 'power house of cell.'
- The food material i.e., glucose is oxidised in the matrix of mitochondria into carnondioxide and water. During oxidation, energy is released. This energy is stored in ATP by electron transport system on the inner membrane of mitochondria.
