light does not affect cellular respiration in plants

Explanation:

Cellular respiration does not depend on light. Photosynthesis does depend on light. Cellular respiration takes place during the daytime and during the night time.

Some plants may go into a form of hibernation during the winter when the amount of light during the day is less. The reduction of plant growth and activity would reduce the need for the energy produced by cellular respiration. The amount of light does indirectly affect cellular respiration by reducing the amount of glucose needed for cellular respiration.

Cellular respiration goes on inside of plant cells, regardless if light is shinning on the plant or not.
