Red and white blood cells are created in the center of the bone, in the bone marrow.
Explanation:
Haematopoiesis is the term for the creation of blood cells within the bones.
Bone marrow is found within the medulla of the bone. The marrow contains Haematopoietic Stem Cells. These stem cells will divide and some will become a mature blood cell and the others sister cells will remain a haematopoietic stem cell. This is called asymmetric division. That way the Haematopoietic stem cells don't run out.
Erythropoiesis is the creation of red blood cells.
Lymphopoiesis is the creation of the white blood cells of the immune system.
