Well, in one mole of stuff there are "Avogadro's Number, "N_AAvogadro's Number, NA, individual items of stuff.

Explanation:

"Avogadro's Number,"Avogadro's Number, N_ANA, =6.022xx10^23*mol^-1=6.022×1023mol1.

10.0*molxxN_A=10.0*cancel(mol)xx6.022xx10^23*cancel(mol^-1)

= 6.022xx10^24" individual water molecules."

Note that had you been asked "how many eggs are in 2 dozen eggs" I think you would have very very quickly given the answer. N_A is a collective number like the "dozen"; the only difference is that N_A is monumentally larger.
