1⋅mL≡1⋅cm3

Explanation:

Both m3 and litres are units of volume. There are 1000⋅L in a cubic metre, which is a very large volume.

1⋅dm3 = (1×10−1⋅m)3, because d ≡ deci, i.e. 10−1.

And thus 1⋅dm3 = (1×10−1⋅m)3 = 10−3⋅m3=1⋅L.

1⋅mL=1×10−3L

And 1⋅cm3=(1×10−2m)3 (because c≡centi, 10−2), and thus,

1⋅cm3=(1×10−2m)3=10−6⋅m3

= 11000×11000⋅m3

But 11000⋅m3≡1⋅L

And 11000⋅L≡1⋅mL, as required.

There is no conversion necessary. Litres and dm3 are numerically identical, as are ml and cm3.

Explanation:

dm3 is "cubic decimetres". A decimetre is 10 cm - if you cube 10 cm you get 10 x 10 x 10 = 1000 cm3 which is 1 litre.

ml are millilitres or "thousandths of a litre". Therefore 1 ml is the same as 1 cm3
