How would you calculate the energy of a photon with a known frequency?

For example, if the frequency is "8x10^13Hz"

The energy of the photon can be calculated using E = hv

Explanation:

In the formula E =hv:

E is the energy in Joules
h is Planck's Constant and
v is the frequency of the photon (light)

So therefore the Energy of a photon with a frequency of 8*10^13 Hz will be:

E = hv
E = 6.626*10^(-34) m^2.kg/s x 8*10^13 Hz
E = 5.3*10^-20 Joules

Therefore the energy of the photon is 5.3*10^-20 Joules

Hope I helped :)
