And the cost of one ticket of adult is $$y$

By condition given,
$2y+3x = 31.50$ (1) and

$y+5x = 35.00$ (2) Multiplying equation (1) by $5$ and equation (2) by $3$ we get, $10y+15x=157.50$ (3) and

           # 3y+ 15x=105.00# (4)  Subtracting equation (4) from eqn.(3)

we get , $7y=52.50 or y=$7.5$
