A formula we can us is:

#t = d/r# where #t# is the time to travel, #r# is the rate of travel and #d# is the distance traveled.

In this problem we are told the rate of travel is 4 miles per hour and the distance is 2 miles.

So substituting gives:

#t = (2 cancel(mil es))/((4 (cancel(mil es)))/(hour))#
