Given that a right angled triangle with bottom side of the triangle is 40cm and the there are 2 angles attached to it, 40degrees and 90degrees.

So adjacent w r to angle 40^@40 is 4040 cm.

So "opposite"/"adjacent"=tan40^@oppositeadjacent=tan40

Hence "opposite"=40*tan40^@=33.56opposite=40tan40=33.56 cm.

Again

"hypotenuse"/"adjacent"=sec40^@hypotenuseadjacent=sec40

So "hypotenuse"=40*sec40^@=52.21hypotenuse=40sec40=52.21cm
