Noise is one issue.
Explanation:
Airports (especially jet engines) cause noise pollution. Jet aircraft takeoff at 100 m causes 125 deciBell sound intensity (Botkin and Keller, 2003). Noise cause pain, temporary or permanent löse of hearing.
Other health effects can be listed as: light pollution, indoor pollution, and others. Airports try to reduce their ecological footprints by reducing their wastes, and recycling efforts.
