Beta plus is a type of radioactive decay.

Explanation:

Beta particles are electrons or positrons (positively charged electrons, also called antielectrons). In beta plus decay, a proton decays into a neutron, a positron, and a neutrino: "p"^(+)"rarr"n"^(0)" + e"^(+) + nu_e. This type of decay decreases the atomic number by 1, but does not change the mass number.
