The principle that "garbage in equals garbage out...."garbage in equals garbage out.... Mass is KNOWN to be conserved in EVERY chemical reaction..

And this is why educators insist that chemical equations must be balanced with respect to mass and charge... If they ain't then the equation CANNOT represent chemical reality....
