Adverbs are words that describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They answer the questions:

How:
> softly, loudly, gracefully, well, fast

Where:
> outside, above, far, indoors, there, abroad

When:
>soon, tomorrow, then, today, already

How much:
> fairly, too, extremely, just, very

How often:
> never, rarely, often, seldom, frequently

In your sentence I think it would be beneficial to add a how adverb in the sentence to describe how he yelled:

  • Desperately, he cried out for help when he got stuck in the revolving door.
  • He cried out loudly for help when he got stuck in the revolving door.
