Stress is physical and emotional strain from living within or dealing with demanding or adverse circumstances.
Explanation:
Stress is physical and emotional strain from living within or dealing with demanding or adverse circumstances.
Plants can be stressed by living in a place that has insufficient light or nutrients. Animals can be stressed by loss of habitat or presence of predators.
Humans can be stressed both by the physical sensation of living in a difficult situation (such as living in a war zone) but also by the emotional sensation of believing oneself to be in an unsafe situation. The human brain can't differentiate between physical sensations and emotional ones, and so reacts in the same manner to being in a war zone as it does to believing itself to be in a war zone.
