What is the difference between the formation yields of ATP during glycolysis and aerobic respiration?

In glycolysis the net yield of ATP is only two molecules,but in aerobic respiration the pyruvate goes to the mitochondria after the link reaction to be further broken down where 34-36(different references) more ATP molecules are produced.
