$y = x - 3$ $y=x-3$

Using long division or any other method, one can show that

$\frac{x^{2} - x}{x + 2} = x - 3 + \frac{6}{x + 2}$ $frac{x^2-x}{x+2}=x-3+frac{6}{x+2}$

As $x \to \infty$ $x->oo$ , $\frac{6}{x + 2} \to 0$ $frac{6}{x+2}->0$
